Interested in the original Sailor Moon anime but not willing to wade through its notoriously large amount of filler? I’ve trudged through the pink sparkly trenches so you don’t have to.
The official website of the newest anime adaptation of Sailor Moon has revealed that the 4th part will be presented in the format of 2 movies.
Also a Blu-Ray of the original series is in the works.
Welcome to my viewing guide for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, the fifth and final season of the original Sailor Moon anime! Sailor Stars fansubs have existed for years, but it was officially released for the first time earlier this year. Here are the episodes to watch and the episodes to skip... although…
I’ve been hyped for this episode since the season started, because it’s so dense with revelations, plot twists and general craziness. I was not disappointed! Well, except for one small thing.
With the Outer Senshi united, some of the secrecy finally gets pulled away in this week’s episode. But Hotaru’s situation is getting worse and worse, and the tension between the Outers and Inners is rising. Also, cyborgs.
Just as the show was starting to feel a little fillery, some big changes are heralded in this episode. And worry not, because this episode is solid anyway. And the animation is only getting better somehow? I wasn’t expecting that!
This episode wowed me. I was worried that the animation in Season 3 would start to get bad as it went on, but that definitely isn’t happening. There were even some parts in this episode that looked great! Plus, drama!
Our review of this week’s episode will be a bit dry this time around - this episode mostly exists as a transition into the next act of this season. Next week will be juicy, but for now, let’s see how we’re getting there!
A dark question has loomed over Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3 ever since it was announced. Three episodes in, it’s been answered.
Here we are - the final three episodes of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Sailor Stars!! How will Sailor Moon stop Galaxia, with all of her friends either dead or turned against her?
Last week, the internet celebrated the return of Sailor Moon Crystal - yes, celebrated - thanks to a number of changes and creative decisions meant to address fan complaints from the first two seasons. The episode this week made me wonder: how much changed, really?
Hello AniTAY, and welcome to the first of my weekly articles talking about each new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal. As you probably already know, season 3 kicked off on Monday, and the response online seems to be overwhelmingly positive. What a difference from seasons 1 and 2!
It wouldn’t be the finale to a season of Sailor Moon without all the supporting characters dying or nearly dying. You know! For kids!
So, remember when I said that some people think Sailor Stars is the worst season of the original Sailor Moon anime, while mentioning that I disagree? Thanks to this week’s episodes, I’m... starting to understand that a little bit more.
We’ve got some pretty great episodes this week, which makes sense as we get closer and closer to the ending. After these two, there are only seven episodes left!
You hear that? It’s the sound of the plot rapidly picking up its pace. And my sympathy for Taiki rapidly fizzling into nothing.
I skipped last week - sorry about that! But it was because I really thought a double post would be good again, especially considering all the things that happen in these four episodes (or really, three episodes). We’re rapidly approaching the end of the series, so let’s get started and see how things begin to snowball…
