There seems to be quite a handful interesting animes airing in the Fall 2018 season. Only Goblin Slayer, the second season of Golden Kamuy, and Radiant really catch my eye. The rest seem pretty lackluster like how many of the animes this summer season feel…
Man, it’s sad to see that there isn’t a ton of people watching Planet With this Summer Anime season. Planet With is my favorite show this season because of how intriguing its world and writing are. Planet With feels like a breath of fresh air because it tries to show me something unique while also trying to present a…
Oh jeez it’s been nearly a month since I did one of these… oops.
It’s that time of year again where the weather becomes unbearable and the only cure for this heat is more anime. Yes, the Summer Season of anime is right around the corner and I have barely enough motivation to try out every show like I did last season. I’m participating in the SixTAY day writing challenge over on TAY…
After 100 billion years of waiting (waiting time may for different people) the sequel to FLCL is finally here! I don’t have a strong connection with the original FLCL, but I do remember having a blast watching the original and I’m happy to report that I had a good amount of fun with the sequel, FLCL Progressive.
It’s pretty funny and cool to see Haoliners actually produce a competent anime this season. For those who don’t know, Haoliners is a Chinese anime production company who are know for farting out some bad short animes like the Silver Guardian or Spiritpact.
In my spare time, I like to find interesting mangas that haven’t been licensed in the US. It’s just nice to find an obscure manga series that no one has heard of yet because I feel that I discovered something that no one else has seen.
I’ve found the anime that I enjoy the most are animes that can surprise me. After… jesus… 10+ years of watching anime, it has been getting harder and harder to find animes that can really catch me off guard, but Aggretsuko came out of nowhere and has become one of my favorite animes this season.
The birds are singing. The flowers are blooming. On days like this, you remember you only managed to finish 2 animes last season and are behind a many more… Uuuuh, where did Winter go…?
I’ve recently gone back and revisited Youjo Senki’s manga recently and I have to say it’s one of the most unique LN to manga adaptations I’ve read. I love how the mangaka showed each nation as a certain type of animal when explaining military tactics in the series. It made it easier to understand what was happening…
Do you remember when the very first Little Witch Academia short film came out? I do and it was such a great surprise. When I found out that the team behind LWA was the same team behind Gurren Lagaan and eventually went on to form Trigger studio, I immediately knew I wanted more LWA
One reason I like new anime season is I get to experience new and cool songs. Some of the best OP/EDs include Kokkoku’s opening Flashback and A Place Further than the Universe’s opening The Girls are Alright, but my favorite song this season is Darling in the Franxx’s ED Torikago.
There are times where you’re blindsided by something that your jaw immediately drops to the floor. I had such an experience when I decided to check the date today and realized that it had been roughly 2 weeks since the last AniDROP and it was a Wednesday… Oopps
With the release of the anime adaptation of Death March to a Parallel this season, I’ve started to feel that the isekai genre has become over saturated with lazy video game fantasy worlds. It’s just sad to see so many of these isekai stories devolve into uninspired power fantasies in tolkein-esque worlds when I know…
Hello everyone! It’s a new anime season and there’s a ton of new and interesting anime. I’ve sifted through a decent amount of the new animes this Winter season and here are my initial impressions.
It’s finally the new year and we finally get more new anime! Although there’s a large number what I would describe as “cute girl anime” this season, we also got one the best animes I seen in a long time, Devilman Crybaby.
Christmas has finally come and gone and I managed to come out of it with a good amount of gifts and food. While, reveling in the festivities, I managed to watch some anime with my sister, which is something I haven’t done with her in years.
There are always some anime series that appeal to your tastes, but for some reason you just don’t like it. That’s how I feel about the series Dagashi Kashi.
It’s that time of year again folks! Where the leaves start falling and everyone gathers around to eat way too much food and there’s always that one person at the diner table who can stop talking about anime.
Whenever Netflix picks up an anime series, my heart drops because I know that I won’t be able to watch that anime for a good three months unless I go on the seven seas to watch it. So when Amagi Brilliant Park got added to Crunchyroll’s catalogue I was happy and surprised since it was originally a Netflix show.
