The 10-episode original anime Osiris no Tenbin (The Balance of Osiris) will premiere this Saturday, August 1st, at midnight. It is the first original anime on the newly revamped Fuji TV On Demand service. Fuji TV is hosting a free one-minute promotional video, although it is only viewable in Japan.

The dark suspense story is set in the modern day and centers around an assassin enshrouded in mystery. To decide whether to execute an assignment or not, he personally meets the target before handing down his final judgment. The story follows the drama that comes from his conversations with the target.

Due to certain circumstances, the left side of the assassin’s body has hardly any internal organs. He is weak and unskilled at guns, but he does possess psychokinesis.

Yuuki Kaji plays the assassin, and each episode will feature guest voice cast members. The cast includes: Yoshimasa Hosoya, Ryohei Kimura, Kenichi Suzumura, Daisuke Namikawa, Mamoru Miyano, Jun Fukuyama, and Miyuki Sawashiro.

Yuusuke Fujikawa (Nobunaga Concerto) is producing and directing the anime, and Takeo Kasai (Sci-Fi Harry) is scripting.

So, yeah. I’m feeling really excited about this one. We don’t know if anyone will pick it up for streaming yet, but someone will most likely do that. Funimation, are you there? And holy crap, look at that voice cast. Why is the voice cast so amazing?

Listed here is some of their prominent roles from anime and games that you most likely know:

  • Yuuki Kaji (Eren from Attack on Titan, Rentarou Satomi from Black Bullet, Lyon from Fairy Tail, Yukine from Noragami)
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya (Ginti from Death Parade, Wave from Akame ga Kill, Subaru Hidaka from Robotics;Notes)
  • Ryohei Kimura (Hachiken from Silver Spoon, Sorey from Tales of Zestiria, Kaito Yashio from Robotics;Notes, Tsubasa Juumonji from Kyoukai no Rinne)
  • Kenichi Suzumura (Sougo Okita from Gintama, Demyx from Kingdom Hearts, Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Renji Hirasaka from Heaven’s Memo Pad)
  • Daisuke Namikawa (Rock from Black Lagoon, Waver Velvet from Fate/Zero, Yu Narukami from Persona 4, Eustass Kid from One Piece)
  • Mamoru Miyano (Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate, Gakushuu Asano from Assassination Classroom, Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Shuu Tsukiyama from Tokyo Ghoul)
  • Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch from Code Geass, Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom, Persona 5’s protagonist, Yukio Okumura from Blue Exorcist, Kazuma from Noragami, Lawrence from Spice and Wolf)
  • Miyuki Sawashiro (Touko Fukawa from Danganronpa, Kana from Parasyte -the maxim-, Elizabeth and Chidori Yoshino from Persona 3, Bishamon from Noragami)

Needless to say, I’m loving this cast. So many roles I recognize (thanks to Anime News Network’s encyclopedia). Whenever we can get this anime, I will be enjoying it. Ten episodes feels really short, though.
