Quite a few new anime have premiered on the leading streaming service in recent weeks. Starting off classic anime Rurouni Kenshin’s first season (24 episodes) have been added to Netflix including the dub. Previously the anime had been available for streaming via Sony’s Crackle service but has been down for a while. I’ve watched the first 12 episodes and its certainly a blast back to the 1990's. If you watched any anime back then you’ll recognize A LOT of voices actors. Hopefully some more of Crackles lapsed anime properties will find there way to the streaming service most notably Clamps brilliant xxxHolic.
Furthermore the first half of Naruto Shippuden has also shown up dubbed and subbed much like Naruto before it on the service. In a happy coincidence the released episodes end almost exactly where my Naruto Shippuden Filler Free guide ended its first part. Also it includes “Season 6" argueably the best season in all of Naruto.
Also the subtitled version of Gunslinger Girls first and second season have been added to the service. I’ve only watched a few episodes and cant really remember much about them so I have no guidance on those. Finally I don’t know if anyone really cares but the localized Smile Pretty Cure! series renamed “Glitter Force” has appeared. Judging by the name change this look to be a heavily localized adaptation so even if you are familiar with the original property I don’t know how much mileage you’ll get out of this one.
