The week before Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for Kikko just being the best. The pieces are making a definite shape but the puzzle isn’t filled in yet. Spoilers: Concrete Revolutio Episodes 1-8 ahead.

For a change, Concrete decides to open this week with Scarf Jiro instead of the “present” time we’re used to seeing. It seems that his trip to save Earth-chan from last week’s Post ED was successful, but they’re met with Hyouma Yoshimura/Mr. Jaguar (guy who can mess with time from the Bureau) and Yumiko Otonashi/Daitetsu Maki (guy who’s basically the Gigander 7 leader). Curiously, Megasshin and Judas from last week aren’t with Jiro for this fight. The Gigander 7 guys had been seen before, but they are the main players this episode. However, the more interesting part of the story, as always, is in the small details. Kikko apparently wasn’t on Earth yet during the 38th year, but Ullr shuts her up before she says anything more. The rock monster was controlled by Daishi Akita (the head of the Bureau) and it seems only Emi knew about it. And yet, this was all done as a favor for an entirely new character we haven’t seen before, probably from the government. Why did Rainbow Knight kidnap those kids, if the notion that it was for ransom is obviously false? What’s also curious is that we haven’t seen Emi show up in any of these “future” segments, even though she is clearly very important in the past and now. Something is bound to happen involving Emi though it doesn’t seem like it will be next week, based on the preview. It’s also nice to see the famous scarf appear. We’ll have to wait and see where it becomes a staple of Scarf Jiro’s appearance. This episode has scenes in the 34th, 38th, 43rd and 47th of Shinka Era, so this is just filling in some gaps, while bringing up more questions.
