"Flying Witch" Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

An anime adaptation of Chihiro Ichizuka’s Flying Witch manga has been green-lit. The comical story follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat, Chito, the somewhat-aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan.

Ishizuka launched the manga in the September 2012 issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine (Attack on Titan, The Heroic Legend of Arslan), and Kodansha published the third volume in April. The fourth volume will ship on April 8th, 2016. The anime will air on NTV, Aomori Broadcasting Corporation, and other stations. The staff, cast, and other details have yet to be announced.
