TOKYO, JAPAN - Breaking news that is sure to rock the anime community to its core! It has been leaked to insiders in the industry, that upcoming anime Gakusen Toshi Asterisk 2nd Season is actually being cancelled and removed from all streaming and related websites over the next day or two. Even more shocking is the reason that is being spread: A series of youtube videos created by user “Digibro” has brought studio execs to question the very foundation of their beliefs.

“It was brought to our attention a few months ago about these videos”, says an Aniplex board member, “And at first we were amused and didn’t pay any attention to him. But as the videos kept coming out, we felt that maybe we did have to take a look and see what he was saying. And frankly, we found ourselves agreeing with him”

“I didn’t know I was making shit! Nobody told me! They told me I was a perfect little snowflake and that everything I was doing was fine!”, sobbed an emotional Manabu Ono, director of the first season of Gakusen Toshi Asterisk, “I am so ashamed, how can I see my family anymore!”

But some in the anime community aren’t taking too kindly to the news. “They can’t take away my Waifus! What will I ever do now without them?!” said one fan to AniTAY.

There were also large groups of demonstrators protesting in front of A1’s headquarters in Tokyo, brandishing signs that read “No Waifu, No Laifu”

When asked to comment on the situation, one of the demonstrators told us, “The Magical Highschool Battle Harem anime is a staple to the Japanese diet, health and general wellbeing. Depriving us of this necessary and vital component of our daily lives is an affront to our rights as human beings.”

Still, there are some people who think this is a powerful step for progress in anime. One school girl told us, “It should have happened a long time ago. My onii-chan hasn’t left his room in 5 years! All he does is hug his dakimakuras, and watch these kinds of shows 24 hours a day. I still love him very much….and wait why are you talking about my onii-chan? Don’t you get close to him or I-”

Digibro did not respond to our requests for any commentary, but through a representative, we were told that he was hard at work on a 20-part series on “Why Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is the most overrated, trite and boring piece of shit I have ever seen”
