Hello Everyone!

Over the month of February I have been running a poll amongst the contributors and readers of the AniTAY and TAY community. I had originally polled 34 of our contributors before deciding to open the poll up for everyone. In the end I ended up with 132 people having voted for 331 different anime series in total. Now, with the results in, I have spent the last few days finalizing the results with assistance from the tally-keepers.

If you would like to hear us reveal and discuss the lists in audio format, and hear us break some of the tied results, make sure you catch the current episode of the AniTAY podcast (and the previous episode while you’re at it).

So without further delay, on to the results!

The Final Results

This poll combines the votes of all 132 people that voted across both polls. The top 3 anime on this list had a wide lead, having 32.6%, 30.3% and 25.8% of people vote for them respectively.

The Movies

Finally, here is a list of movie votes that made the list. In hindsight, I would have cut movies from the poll as very few people actually voted for them. With only 24 different movies having a vote (as movie sequels/continuations were counted as series votes) I have taken the top 10 voted-for movies.

  1. Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki (31 Points)
  2. 5 Centimeters per Second (20 Points)
  3. Princess Mononoke (19 Points)
  4. Ghost in the Shell (19 Points)
  5. Time of Eve (19 Points)
  6. Kara no Kyoukai (18 Points)
  7. Summer Wars (17 Points)
  8. Millennium Actress (16 Points)
  9. Perfect Blue (15 Points)
  10. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (15 Points)

With that, we have come to the end of Ani-TAY’s Favourite Anime Poll for 2016. I want to thank everyone on Ani-TAY and TAY who made this list possible, with special thanks to:
