AniTAY Question of the Week: How's Winter Treating You?

Illustration for article titled AniTAY Question of the Week: Hows Winter Treating You?

After totally forgetting last week and not realizing until late Saturday that I didn’t post a question, I’m back. Work, how is it that you keep me so busy? Oh well. Now that we are a few weeks into Winter 2016 and each show has aired at least a couple of episodes, it is time to ask the all important question: how is Winter 2016 going for you all?

Which shows are the best, most surprisingly good, disappointing, or just down right awful? Take you pick, as many as you like.

For me the show I am enjoying the most so far this season is definitely Erased; Boku dake ga Inai Machi in its langauge of origin. I really can’t find any significant faults in it, the only flaw I can think of right now is the fact that only three episodes have aired and I want more NOW! Not only is the story captivating and the characters interesting, the execution in almost every area of production is fantastic. With excellence visuals, direction, music and pacing, it is a show that somehow makes its world both drab and vibrant at the same time. If A-1 can keep the quality of the first three episodes going for the rest of the season, especially in regard to storytelling, this will be my number one for the season and a contender for this young year as well. Like mystery? Check it out.

I would be remiss not to mention how good Studio DEEN is doing with both the character-driven Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu and the hilarious Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! So check them out too.

My last question:

If you have any ideas for future questions of the week feel free to leave them in the comments, otherwise, see you next Friday.
