Illustration for article titled AniTAY Question of the Week: Adaptation Time

There are plenty of manga, light novels and other properties out there in the world and with each passing week we learn about new ones being adapted to anime. So the question this week is: which property, manga, light novel, visual novel or other would you most like to see receive an anime adaptation that has not already received one?

And while you are at it, feel free to include which studio you think would handle it the best and even which voice actors you want to play which parts. Be as detailed as you like. Also, don’t worry if only a few chapters or a single volume have been published so far, if it is good give it a shout out. If you have an image, please include it in your response.

For me the answer to this question would be the absolutely hilarious Dungeon Meshi. While it does not yet have enough material to make a full cour, it should be there sometime in 2016, I would love to hear about it getting an adaptation. For those not in the know, Dungeon Meshi follows the journey of four adventurers as they delve into a dungeon to save a former party member, but being without enough funds to buy the needed provisions they must subsist on the monsters found in the dungeon for food. Some members of the party are excited by this prospect, others not so much. It is a great cooking manga that has fun with a number of fantasy tropes and a great cast of characters. You should check it out if you have not done so already.
