There are always some anime series that appeal to your tastes, but for some reason you just don’t like it. That’s how I feel about the series Dagashi Kashi.

Ever since the second season of Dagashi Kashi got announced, I planned to catch up with the series because I remember watching and reading Dagashi Kashi a few years back, but dropped it after a few episodes and chapters. After watching half of the first season, I realized that even though the show covered an interesting topic (Japanese candy) the delivery of the material fell flat for me.

The show felt like a 30 minute long commercial for various Japanese candies and while some of the skits were fun and interesting, most skits weren’t engaging enough to keep my attention for more than a few minutes.

Do I regret watching Dagashi Kashi? No. The material was interesting, but the delivery was weak. If I do watch the 2nd season of Dagashi Kashi, I’ll probably end up multitasking while watching the show.

Have you ever watched any shows that sounded like it appealed to you, but didn’t click in action? Also, did you finish that show/s?
