It’s that time of year again where the weather becomes unbearable and the only cure for this heat is more anime. Yes, the Summer Season of anime is right around the corner and I have barely enough motivation to try out every show like I did last season. I’m participating in the SixTAY day writing challenge over on TAY and I’ve somehow been able to keep up with the challenge. If you’re interested in what I’ve been writing over there, click on the “SIXTAY DAYS OF WRITING” tag in the tag bar.
Although I have my hands full, I’m still going to try to make time to watch the new season of Overlord even though I have mixed feelings on the source material. Volume 7 is good, it’s just I dislike how the volume ended. Like the ending made sense, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Volume 8 was ok because it’s the first volume that directly describes the effects of Nazarick’s influence on the world. It’s just the sakes in the volume were too low and the slice of life stuff in it weren’t as engaging as I wished it would be. Volume 9 will be a freaking blast because we finally get to see Ainz interact with other nations on a formal level and it’s so interesting to see how the outside world sees Nazarick. I’m sure Mad House will do a good job of adapting the series, I just hope they can polish up the source material a bit during the adaptation.
