There are always some anime series that appeal to your tastes, but for some reason you just don’t like it. That’s how I feel about the series Dagashi Kashi.
It’s that time of year again folks! Where the leaves start falling and everyone gathers around to eat way too much food and there’s always that one person at the diner table who can stop talking about anime.
Whenever Netflix picks up an anime series, my heart drops because I know that I won’t be able to watch that anime for a good three months unless I go on the seven seas to watch it. So when Amagi Brilliant Park got added to Crunchyroll’s catalogue I was happy and surprised since it was originally a Netflix show.
Watching Recovery of an MMO Junkie is just so refreshing. It’s nice to see adult characters balance their work life with their social lives in an MMORPG. Plus the show gives a good amount of depth to the main character that it makes me invested in her current struggles.
If I could sum up my schedule right now in one picture, the picture below would be good choice.
The newest season of new anime has just begun with a bang. I finished watching the first episode of Osomatsu-San season 2 and I can’t stop laughing. The amount of unique and creative humor that was packed into the first episode was amazing.
Man, some animes have fantastic openings and endings. I just added most of the opening songs from the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series to my iphone and they’re always able to get me pumped for an 8k run.
Some days I wish my biological clock would turn itself off. Today is one of those days because I just finished going to all 4 days of the Penny Arcade Expo the last for days and I am bone tired.
Hello everyone! While catching up on this season’s Restaurant to Another World I had a sudden epiphany, I should not watch this show while full. No matter circumstances, I will always get hungry when I see some of the beautifully drawn food drawn on screen because the food looks so delicious. It doesn’t help that when…
While watching episode 5 of Magical Circle Guru-guru, I noticed that the exact same shot that I took a screenshot of in Knight’s & Magic for last week’s AniDROP. In fact, I’m sure shot like the one below is used fairly frequently in anime in general.
Alongside other announcements about the franchise
As the summer season rolls on, I keep thinking that there’s only a handful of new must watch and a lot of just ok animes this season. One of these ok shows I follow weekly is Knight’s & Magic, which is a fantasy world with mechs in it. The production for the show is solid and the show is very charming in how…
Not everyone’s path to their dream career is the same. For Korean comic creator Sungtaek Lim (aka Narak), it literally involved being a stranger in a strange land.
There are times where there are cuts of animation that just make your jaw drop. Just the sheer spectacle of beauty of that said cut reminds you why you love anime. I’ve been having this feeling while catching up on the most recent episodes of Rage of Bahamut Virgin Soul and My Hero Academia and I’m loving it.
I’ve checked out a fair amount of the new summer animes and I have to admit that Magical Circle Guru Guru surprised me the most. Magical Circle Guru Guru may look like a show aimed at kids, but it is first and foremost a comedy on the level of Konosuba.
With the solstice finally behind us, we can finally greet summer with open arms and you know what that means! It’s freaking hot! That and we get more new seasonal anime! I for one am excite for a good number of animes, in particular I’m looking forward to is Made in Abyss because of its Disney like character designs…
I find it’s pretty hard to find legal streams of OVA some times, which is a huge shame because OVA are most often interesting if anything. One of the most funniest OVA series I’ve ever encounters is a series called “Plastic Nee-San,” which is about a typical club of cute girls who are in a model building club. Though…
I absolutely love when anime series manage to create ridiculous actions scenes are at once silly and awesome at the same time. I can definitely say that the scene pictured below in the episode 8 of Grand Blue Fantasy the Animation is one of these scenes and I absolutely love that it gave me a great screenshot.
Some pieces of media seek to evoke a sense of nostalgia within its viewers and I tend to gravitate to things that try to do this. It really brings me back to when I was a kid, getting my mind blown by crazy new ideas or interesting visuals. Grand Fantasy the Animation gives me some of those feelings, but now that I’m…
We’re roughly half way through the Spring season and many shows have shown themselves to be great, but the one that stands out from the pack for me is Re:Creators. Everything about Re:Creators has me glued to my seat and begging for more each week. Simply put, Re:Creators is my anime of the season.
