In 2014, there were a number of men who set the standard for being the manliest men in shows I enjoyed. This list is dedicated to them, may they keep being manly in 2015.

2D-kun (Golden Time)

"There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." - Albus Dumbledore

This year, 2D-kun became the ultimate bro and deserves to be recognized for the lengths he is willing to go to for his friends.

Ichiro Komaba (Silver Spoon)

Eater of meat, milk farmer and pitcher of fast balls. Also displayed outstanding responsibility, making him a winner in my book.

Archer (Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works)

That Ufotable production quality, never has Archer looked better than this. Emotionally distant yet so cool looking, he is just so cool. Too cool.

Tarou Takanashi (Shirobako)

Confident in his desires and delightfully oblivious towards anything that needs to get done. Tarou is beloved by his coworkers and the cornerstone of Musahino Animation. Give this man a raise! Winner of this year's "Person everyone would most like to work with" award.

Tatsuya Shiba (The Irregular at Magic High School)

Overpowered you say? Devoid of a personality? Nonsense. Onii-sama is the model of perfection and we should all strive to emulate him in our kawaii magical high-school lives.

Umetarou Nozaki (Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun)

No one understands the opposite sex like Nozaki the mangaka, not even Nozaki himself. Winner of the blockhead award of 2014.
