We wouldn’t have anime if it were not for the people making them, so instead of talking exclusively about the shows themselves let’s take today to talk about where they come from. So this week’s question is: which anime studios are your favorite?

Though I have been a fan of anime for a long time, it is only recently that I have begun to really think that I may have a favorite production studio. Going into a new season, I often pay more attention to which studio is producing the show than I do to the description of the show itself, as the best studios are the ones that consistently create great shows. Not that a surprise studio doesn’t show up unexpectedly to win over your heart. I am looking at you Lerche, what with your amazing three-show line-up this season of Ranpo Kitan, Monster Musume and especially School-Live!.

I am somewhat lothe to pick just one studio as my all around favorite, but as I have asked the question I need to give an answer. So I will go with Madhouse. Madhouse has been around for a long time, at least for a anime studio, and has had its ups and downs in regard to quality. But to correspond with my return to active viewing of anime, Madhouse has put out a string a great shows: Death Parade, Hanayamata, Ore Monogatari, No Game No Life, and Overlord among others including two of my all time favorites Parasyte and Chihayafuru. I can’t help but love what they have been doing recently. So what about you?

Last week’s question:

If you have any ideas for future questions of the week feel free to leave them in the comments, otherwise, see you next Friday.
